I don't know if you've found what you were looking for or not, but some of the faux fur suppliers allow you to request swatches. You can check Mendel's ( http://mendels.com/fur1.shtml and http://mendels.com/fur2.shtml ) and CR's Crafts ( http://www.crscraft.com/products/vProduct2.asp?pid=Fur&L1=3&L2=1&L3=0&L4=0&V2=1&V3=0&V4=0&cat=crafts&sub=Fabrics&class= ) as both have ways to acquire swatches.

So I'm going on vacation starting "tomorrow" and will be gone for a few weeks. But luckily for you, Jude and Wolfin agreed to do a joint series on the crowns in the Bible at the same Bible study time during my absence! ^^ So while you won't be getting Jeremiah for the next few weeks, there will still be a Bible study. You should hop on Skype at the right time and join in. I'd join if I could, as it sounds rather interesting. But right now I need to finish packing the last few things so that I can get a few hours of sleep. And I'll be on a plane as they start off this interim series. Blessings and peace! ~Direlda

Total War: Shogun 2 was the most recent game I played, though I haven't had time to play any games for the last few days.

Bible study for this week will be on Jeremiah 14! (Yeah, I know I haven't done a good job of posting times...) The times are as follows: Friday, May 31 at 4:30pm Pacific Timezone Friday, May 31 at 5:30pm Mountain Timezone Friday, May 31 at 6:30pm Central Timezone Friday, May 31 at 7:30pm Eastern Timezone Friday, May 31 at 8:30pm Atlantic Timezone Saturday, Jun 1 at 12:30am British Timezone Saturday, Jun 1 at 12:30am Central European Timezone Saturday, Jun 1 at 8:30am Korean Timezone Remember this is done through Skype and I record these things for the community's benefit. Also, I will be going on vacation June 21/22 through at least July 12/13. It sounds like there will be a study on the crowns in the Bible going on in my absence, but I need to confirm with the people who would be doing it. Finally, as I return to the States (for an indefinite period) in July, we might want to consider moving the Bible study time to make it more conducive to those in Europe. Thanks for the advice! ^^ I'll see what I can do in that regard, though I'm not sure if any of the Korean faux fur manufacturers will be on such a list. And here is a video I made on my most recent trip to the market of me following some of the suggestions I got from the LiveJournal fursuit group:

I'm thinking of buying some faux fur soon and was wondering if any of you knew how to determine the quality of faux fur. I'm going to the Dongdaemun crafts market in Seoul. To give you an idea of what it's like, think of a craft store (like JoAnn, Michaels, or a local craft store). Remove all the crafts that don't relate to textiles/clothing projects. Merge that with Costco's wholesale and warehouse aspects. Then merge that with a street fair's multitudes of different vendors. Put that in a 7 story (plus one basement) building the size of a city block. The aisles should be about 1m or less in width for most of the building. Organize the floors by what is being sold (yarns and threads, fabrics, buttons, etc) and then group vendors with similar wares together on the appropriate floors. There is some faux fur in this market and I'll be going back to check the prices against what I could buy in the US. But I want to make sure that it's a decent quality before I buy it. So is there any way to tell the quality of faux fur by looking it over? And I do know the Korean word for faux fur (it's 인조모피 'injomopi'), so I'll be able to verify that it isn't real fur. ^^

Your English is good! ^^ And I was (for a year) a teacher of English to speakers of other languages. (Your English is probably much better than my Korean, Japanese, or Russian--so don't be worried) You're welcome to come to the Bible study, though it would start around 1:30am Saturdays your time... ^^; And I'm also willing to be a conversation partner (I did a lot of that in university--it was fun talking with people from other parts of the world).

On a scale of Abraham Lincoln to banana, I'm Direlda, which is light years off the scale. That's how crazy I am.
