Awesome! Wish I could have gone to AC this year, but it fell on a bad weekend for me. ã… .ã… Now to get around to making my suit...

Hiya! Welcome to this, our silly and yet serious part of the internet. I'm the crazy kitsune known as Direlda who wanders about through worlds of ink and paper.

Welcome back! *Direlda bows in greeting* I'm a crazy kitsune whose schedule currently prevents him from hosting an online Bible study.

When I was in Japan last July, I went in a CD store in Shibuya (at the famous crossing near Shibuya Station, in fact) and the CD with this track was featured on a wall. Dear reader, I bought it. I'm rather predictable, ね?

How did the concert go?

That is rather cool. When I read the thread name, though, my mind decided to connect it to Metal Gear...

Thanks for the ideas! I'll get to work making study plans and then give them to someone.

There's also the Blue Letter Bible, which has a concordance and the ability to make the passages interlinear.

So I know I haven't done Bible study since mid or late January. I should have told people before hand, but I'm not very good at that. It's one of the areas I need to work on. Why I haven't been able to do Bible study is primarily because I've been taking care of my 91 year old grandmother. That is my job. In fact, this post has not been written all at once, but has been broken up between my checking on grandma. Basically, I have to make sure she stays hydrated and gets some exercise. If she doesn't keep up with the hydration, then her blood pressure drops, she passes out, and the paramedics are called in. The first Bible study I missed (on Jan 24th) was because grandma had passed out that very day. Praise the Lord that my experiences in the Boy Scouts taught me how to respond in emergency situations and that I was able to get help quickly. The other Bible studies I've missed have been because I'm the only one home with grandma and have to start working on the evening meal around the time of Bible study. Until I figure out how to ensure that I am able to adequately take care of grandma while running Bible study, I'm afraid that it will be sporadic--limited to those Fridays when I'm not the only one around to look after her. I'll try to be around on the forums a bit more and on skype when I can. Blessings and peace! ~Direlda

Hello from the northeast hills!

A silly welcome from me! Would you like tea or fish? *Direlda bows in greeting* I'm the random red fox who is hoping to have the time to start the online Bible study back up. -
Welcome to our part of the web! ^^ *Direlda bows in greeting* I'm a silly kitsune who normally leads an online Bible study and writes stories, but hasn't been able to do much of either this month. Oh, and your art is fantastic! And you've even made art with a Tolkien quote! \^o^/

Taking reference pictures can also help. Pick an object and take several shots with different sorts of light: Backlit Directly overhead Various angles from the sides Natural lighting on a sunny day Natural lighting on a cloudy day Flash directly on it Combinations of lights Flashlight (i.e. directed light) vs lamp (indiscriminate lighting) Giving yourself a library of different lighting scenarios to go back to will help refresh your memory when you aren't able to easily reference it in person (if it were a cloudy day and you were drawing scenes set on a sunny day).

A bit of Christmas Cheer for the Metalheads out there

That is a great cover. ^^ -
A cape wouldn't be hard to make out of a piece of felt. And what are you insinuating by saying it needs a goofier face, Kail, hmm? The face seems to have a mischievous enough grin. Teehee. Oh, and thanks for sharing, Rythe! ^^

So the Antilia Kickstarter has officially started! I've been doing a little bit of volunteer work on the language for the devs, so I'm especially excited about this game!! The Kickstarter is here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jeffleigh/antilia-a-majestic-3d-mmo For those of you who aren't familiar with the game, let me explain. No, there is too much, let me sum up. Antilia is an indie MMO that is currently in the alpha stage of development. Not only is it a graphically beautiful game to look at, but all player races are anthropomorphic animals (I was really sad when I had to disable the fur rendering to get the framerate up on my old computer). So this is a game you should definitely take a look at! Sadly the Alpha 1 phase of testing has ended and there won't be any more tests for a while. But you can get into the Beta and Alpha tests via Kickstarter.

Well, I just finished moving, so not as much got written over the last several days as I was hoping. But I'm getting close. It doesn't help that the form one of the "explanations" is taking is largely an alliterative poem. Luckily I have Rogert's thesaurus and the compact OED to help me out. And don't worry, once the rough drafts of these "explanations" are done, I'll post them up--no sense making you wait through the revision process (it would take a lot longer).
