  1. Welcome to the forums; we're glad to have you around! *Grins and waves*
  2. I blame caffeine. I mean... *Waves* Welcome back! Don' think I recall seeing you from before, but then I've been a little scarce for the few months I've been around.
  3. *Waves* Hello and welcome. We're glad to have you around. ^^
  4. I enjoyed the heck out of this game when I really needed gaming to provide a worthwhile experience for once. It's a mix between a Metroidvania and an ARPG with some great moments between all the fuzzy characters. The game isn't flawless by any means, especially at the very beginning, but it's still a gem worth picking up with some excellent gameplay, gameplay animation and solid voice work. An interesting bit of trivia is the game was basically made by one person (shy of a pass on the writing, soundtrack, and outsourced voice acting), who started out as a professional animator (and the animator part shows). 'Glick 16' from the soundtrack made it into my general playlist, and there's another bonus hidden in the credits. So yes, a hearty recommend. And the reason I'm mentioning all this is because the best game from XBLA's 2012 Summer of Arcade thing, that just so happens to be furry, is coming to Steam. Launch Trailer Goodness Below -
  5. Welcome and hello. Hope you enjoy your time around these parts.
  6. Youtube is a great platform for ease of access and putting your stuff out there to be found. I will also echo the idea of having a static image and possibly using the video to show the scripture as a bonus to the platform. As for feedback, I listened to one session on Wagtailz a few months back, so this is really vague impression time. The sample may not have been a prime example, but it seemed like you spent an awful long time just reading verses, even with the popcorn approach. I'm use to more of a couple verses then dig in, cross-reference, expand, and make concrete approach, so there's a bit of bias here, but seemed to me that you took on too big a passage and didn't spend enough time unpacking and digesting what was going on in those verses. Really couldn't given the length of the passage you were working with. -That was actually a Wagtailz 2.0 podcast proper, so not sure how much it even applies to the Bible Studies. A bit more helpfully - I have a background in live audio and bought some software that can do basic audio mastering at the least. Problem is I barely know my way around said software at this point, so can't really promise competence, but I'm willing to give 'make bible study sound decent' a shot. On the other paw, I'm not sure exactly what kind of time investment this will end up being. I need to learn the software, so that part is helping me as much as anything, but have a small worry that I'm biting off more than I can chew commitment-wise. To be honest, this is me looking around and raising a helping paw where no one else can or will.
  7. Since a few were curious as to what I was - here's the last iteration of the avatar. There were always problems with it, and in some ways, not as good as the previous official iteration. Just hit the point where the problems are making me want to redo it again, very badly, so we'll see how long it takes for me to 'fix'.

    Judges please!

What XarZyth said. Enough that it makes me think the speakers you're using have no low end or are set so that the bass guitar just isn't coming through for you like it is for us. Piano is flat and a bit thin, but that's micing and the microphones you're using. I used three really high end microphones when I was doing that sort of thing back in the day. Two in the lid over the hammers, and an area mic at the back of the piano. This assumes that's a live piano and of the grand type, and that you have three really good mics and a pair of boom stands. The electric guitar sounds like you were too conservative in the playing, well, the whole song does. Like you were striving for technical proficiency rather than just playing the song for an audience. There's a clipped sort of quality to it that stems from that - part of XarZyth's mechanical sounding comment I think. You may have also compressed the electric guitar a hair much. It makes the electric guitar and drums sound a bit at odds with each other, mostly along the high end, as the drums have a more natural sounding frequency and volume range to them where the electric doesn't. But ignoring the overpowering bass guitar, it's a rather enjoyable listen. Keep it up.
  9. Thanks for the welcomes! The style of that dragon is an extension of my second RP - The Furry Dragons Roleplay. Long defunct, but it doesn't really feel that unique to me knowing where it came from and that it's just my version and further development of what's gone before. Glad people are liking it, tho'.
  10. I'm listing about as I go through a few life changes, and found this community during that. So the history. Fell into the furry world via an interest in roleplaying as storytelling and escapism. I was a dragon fanatic and avid fantasy reader when I was young, and discovered roleplaying through searches involving both that eventually led to a very interesting log site for a MUCK with 'taurs and furs then Sinai MUCK. Never had the chance to join either, but they were the spark and I still have fond memories of reading those logs. The roleplaying circles I eventually found myself in were basically full of furs, and even as I've lost my links to all of them at this point, I still lurk around FurAffinity and things for the art, and by extension, ideas. I've grown fond of the identity for a lot of its little creative facets and flexibility. There's a style to it that hard sci-fi or fantasy often lacks, a whimsy and adventurous feel of the sort that made Chrono Trigger a dearly loved game for me. I'm a creative soul of many talents and potential, but lack the drive and determination to see it through. Doubt is there too. I try, after a manner, but feel like I'm ten years behind on life. So that's me. Not sure what's going to come of this, but in the meantime - have a dragon.
