Both of these were actually inspired by Proverbs 14:12 Well, at least the first one was anyway. The second one is a little more loosely inspired by that verse. It may be breaking all the 'rules' of surrealist art to tell you this, but here's what they mean to me: The first one is a guy in a hot air balloon with a light bulb instead of a balloon. The world around him looks blurry and confusing, so he tries to use his own ideas (symbolized by the light bulb) to escape. As you can see, it isn't getting him anywhere, and the light bulb/balloon casts no shadow, so it really isn't even there at all. The second one is a rock being weighted down by a balloon. Sometimes the material things we attach to ourselves to try to lift us up end up bringing us down and keeping us from going anywhere.

I've been using my new tablet to do a couple of surrealist style digital paintings. Critique is much appreciated; I'm still relatively new to art EDIT: I want to hear some of your thoughts as to what the symbolism in these pictures says to you "The Path" "Gravity" The first one I did in like 20 minutes, but the second one took me 2 or 3 hours.

Ugh...the issue seems to have returned, and this time cleaning out the vents didn't seem to do anything. Updating the drivers again also had no effect... I even tried a system restore, but I don't know if it helped or not. When the restore finished I found that I was no longer able to connect to the internet, so I undid it. I don't know what to do...I've spent the past couple of days trying everything I can think of and nothing seems to work... I hope I haven't fried anything... :s

I've only played for a couple of hours, but I thought Skyrim started off pretty exciting. You nearly get executed and then have to run from a dragon as it terrorizes the whole town...not boring to me

Are they pressure sensitive? Smart pens I mean.

I thought about getting a Wacom...what's the difference between that and the other thing you were mentioning (smart pen or whatever)?

Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess are like the greatest games ever made. I wanna get Skyward Sword too...it'll have to wait until after Skyrim though

I bought one of the premade (blue & red) decks at Target because a bunch of people at the Baptist Student Center were really into it. The only matches I ever one though were against my brother, because he also had a premade (black and some color...blue I think) deck. All the other people I played against had been playing for years and had tons of rare cards and all that jazz, so they had no trouble at all taking me down.

LOL Yeah! It was fun until our team decided that winning was simply too awesome though and forgot how to try. Either that or the other team suddenly had a burst of unyielding resolve that fueled their dreams of victory. Maybe both. XD

I tried downloading the newer driver but that didn't seem to have an effect. I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but I think all it needed was a good dusting. I used an office duster to blow out all the vents, and as soon as I turned it back on, I immediately noticed that it was running much quieter and I was able to play several matches of Team Fortress 2 without crashing. It hasn't crashed at all while playing games since I did that, so maybe all the dust had clogged up the fan or something. When I blew out the vents with the office duster, visible clouds of dust emanated from the other vents. It was pretty funny, and a little sad at the same time

I used the device manager and it told me my driver was up to date...after a few internet searches I couldn't find an updated driver for the video card I have. (AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200...at least I think that's the video card :s)

I play computer games a ton, and all of a sudden my computer has made a habit out of crashing while I'm playing a game, almost always accompanied by a screen of vertical stripes of two different colors (if it isn't that, it's just a blank screen). I've tried all of my games, and nearly all of them have this problem. At first I thought that maybe my computer was overheating, so I tried elevating the back of it (where the vents are; it's a laptop) a few inches. This did cause the crashes to happen less often (or so it seemed), but it didn't eliminate them completely, and some games (like Team Fortress 2) were unaffected and still crashed just as often. I've run a virus scan and disk defrag, neither of which had any noticeable effect. I'm doing a registry cleanup right now, but I really don't even know what the problem is, so I'm not sure what to do.
