I wantz a new game.

Recommended Posts

My repertoire of 360 games has become dull and unexciting. I've beaten every 360 game I own and the only thing I've played since last october has been Halo: Reach, and I've milked every last drop out of that game.

This year there's gonna be a Gears 3, a Halo: Combat Evolved remake and there's a few good games out right now, too.

Any suggestions for a core gamer?

Fallout 3

Borderlands

Half-Life series

Portals

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Far Cry 2

Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Lawl of Duty 4

Recently I got bored of those, I played them all through. Soo I tried out runescape, pretty fun MMO in browser game that will run on practically any machine.

Buy the top 3 Bethesda games: fallout 3, fallout new Vegas, and the elder scrolls oblivion. And buy the 5th elder scrolls that's coming out in November also. Fallout will take you about 2-3 months for you to do everything, fallout new Vegas about 4 months, oblivion I've never finished it so IDK.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Game of the Year Edition) is one I recommend if you get it for your Xbox (mine's for PC). It's lotsa fun and it'll keep you really busy. :D I've beaten the storyline a couple times but the cool part is that you can wander around wherever you want even after you beat it,and you still get side-missions and stuff. ^w^ It's a big beautiful world with tons of action, peaceful scenery, nice music, and rad swords and armor and whatnot. :P

Stuff that I enjoyed:

Stuff thats on 360 but way better on PC

Avoid oblivion, play it on PC (mods make a huge difference with this game)

Fallout 3 (better on PC, mods)

Fallout NV (get it on PC if you can, load times on 360 even after install to HDD are really bad)

Dragon age: orgins/awakening (PC ALMOST MANDATORY. It's very difficult to play on 360, but doable)

Rift: If you like MMOs, this one is infinitely more complex than WoW. Not on 360

Stuff thats fine on 360

Mass effect 1 (bioware shooter/rpg)

Mass effect 2

Nier (action rpg, brilliant story and soundtrack)

Splinter cell: double agent (stealth)

Splinter cell conviction (action)

dead rising 1

dead rising 2 (zombies)

resonance of fate (rpg)

castlevania: LOS (action)

Resident evil 5 (action)

alpha protocol (open ended rpg/spy)

alan wake (horror)

Borderlands (shooter/rpg)

Bioshock (shooter/cinematic)

rock band 3 (rythem)

FFXIII (rpg)

Red dead redemption (open world wild west)

ace combat 6 (cinematic, arcade flight)

Last remnant (rpg)

operation darkness (strat rpg in WW2...with nazi zombies and Trexes)

Tales of vesperia: tales rpg

gears of war 1/2: wanton violence

eternal sonata: like vesperia on psychadelics.

Call of duty: black ops (competitive multiplayer) I say black ops because I thought MW2 was terrible, glitchy, full of hackers, balance issues (OMA/DC, M/L/C, etc) and killstreak spam was terrible. Cod4 is awesome but community is pretty dead now. WAW is also massivly overrun with hackers. BO is either love it or hate it depending on what you like in these games. I very much prefer it to MW2.

Rainbow six vegas 1/2 (competitive multi): sadly community is probably dead by now

Halo reach: I really don't like the halo series but had to list it as a core game

LA Noire: coming soon

Battlefield 3: coming soon

Sounds like you play a lot of shooters. I used to play those all the time, until I realized that they never quite last as long as I want them to (I got the Goldeneye 007 game for DS and literally beat it in about 2 and a half hours o_o). If you're looking for something that will keep you entertained for quite a while, I'd recommend an rpg such as Oblivion (heck, even Morrowind) because even after you've beaten every single quest, there's always the option of going back through it again and trying it as a different class, or downloading a whole bunch of mods, or even just messing around for hours with dev console cheats :P

Oh, and by the way...HAPPY BIRFDAY! :3

I've recently become addicted to RS as well xP Talking to you on steam about it made me want to pick it up again and try it. And hey, can't beat free ^_^

What's your opinion on Nier? I've considered buying it but I guess it's not popular cause I can't find much info. I good solid review would be nice if you have the time =P

If you're a racing fan you might try Need for Speed: Hot pursuit. I think it's available for 360 but I'm not 100% sure... it's got a cool free drive feature that is fun for just relaxing. Also online isn't too bad either.

Problem is I have a PS3 (stabs your 360 :P) so I'm not sure what's available. I just don't keep up with Xbox =P

Another one did come to mind and that's Two Worlds. That was pretty fun from what I played.

Btw any good suggestions on RPGs in general that have at least a free roam after the end game? I've played FFXIII and I love how that turned out.

Story: amazing! One of the best I've seen in a jrpg in ages. you need to play it through 3 times or so to get the full story, but each extra play only takes ~5 hours. Be warned it's probably one of the most depressing games I'cve ever played in my life though (in a good way).

Music: same as story, beautiful and I've considered picking up a soundtrack for it, which I havent done since the 90s with an rpg.

visuals: nothing special, spells look a bit gimmicky

gameplay: a bit repetitive

Just Cause 2 - By far the MOST INSANE open world action game ever. (all platforms) trust me, it's awesomer than Fallout 3 (truth).

The Bourne Series - secret assassins, punching faces, breaking arms and legs, high intense action and awesome take downs, plus much more for the best T rated games I've played in a while.

Minecraft - waste time all alone by yourself in the block of addiction o.o

RPGs: Skyrim is a must. Fable 2 and 3.... Rent the Fable games, they're so bad but so fun to play until you get so bored you send then back to the store :|

Buy those games, or go to the gym. Your choice.

Don't knock it till you try it Pooty o.O can you attach a bus to an air plane then fly it into a populated city and randomly have the bus spin in circles around your plane, then get out and watch the bus and plain crash into a building? Can you attach a police man to the back of a sports car, then jump the car off a waterfall and watch the police man smash into rocks? Can you attatch a secret agency ice cream truck to a jet plane then fall off, bounce a million feet in the air? Can you attach two planes together then go crazy? Can you drive a tank off a cliff then watch a police squad follow you? Can you punch someone in the face on the street, watch a police man run at you, then he randomly stops and asks where the criminal went? You can in Just Cause 2 xD

ooooooh we've got a bunch of runescapers :D you wanna form a christian furs clan on runeescape? my first interaction with the larger "clan world" (well-established clans) was with the guardians, who are gone now. id love to found a new clan, possibly establish relations with the mafia. i have some powerful friends there. might establishrelations with thefurryclan, though they dislike me, and i should be able to establish relations with the dragon horde.

@Carter: ... well can you have a giant unstoppable supermutant by your side, completely destroying any enemies, without losing any health? Can you have a dog that can fight and defeat 10 raiders and ALSO not lose any health? Can you go into slow motion and watch your bullets completely devastate and blow your enemy to pieces? Can you get hours on end, OVER 100, doing quests? And how about DLC? you get a new map in Point lookout and a new map in mothership Zeta, both, along with 3 more packs that come with A LOT more quests, a LOT more weapons, and a LOT more fun. can you watch a giant robot shoot INSANELY devastating lazers, and hurtle nukes as grenades at your main enemy, the enclave?

@kmmnderkoala: I might join runesacpe to do this, but i still don't understand whats so exciting about runescape.
