How many of you have played (and liked) Halo 1, 2, and/or 3? And who is excited about Reach????

That's weird, it's completely opposite of me.

 

Halo 1 is awesome (though we don't go back to it except rarely, but when we do, it's just as fun as it was when it was new). Halo 2 was pretty good, but more of a holdover to Halo 3, which is awesome. Halo Reach is a little different, takes some getting used to, but I like what I see, and definitely could see myself playing it a lot. It's still just in beta though, so it has room for improvement. I have high hopes.

 

Of course, all of these games are much more fun as you play them with friends. The campaigns are worth playing through but only once. The campaign in ODST was ok, but repetitive, much like the original Halo (which I think they were intending to do). I have yet to finish it on my own, though (I've beaten it on a friend's account in co-op, but that doesn't count ).

Playing the co-op campaign for Halo 3 was awesome - I stayed up till morning with a friend. Other than that, I haven't done much with the Halo games (being in Seattle and the console being in Oregon with my brother...). Though playing the Halo 3 map with the bridge and man cannons was rather fun...

To Barok: I actually agree with you. Halo 3 is... Pretty good. Not as good as 2, but still awesome.

 

To HuskyDog: For me, campaign is fun every time! It's fighting against my bro's that actually irritating to me. With more peeps playing it would be alot more fun!

 

To Direlda: LOL. I have actually never played campaign Halo 3... We only have one controller and no HDD or memory card. But still, it's flippin' awesome, And I've actually played it about... 11 or 12 times. Well, more like 15 or 16. It's good. Too bad you don't have an XBOX 360 of your own.

Halo multiplayer is amazing on XBox Live. Though at this point you can only do Halo 1 and 2 for PC multiplayer online, or Halo 3/ODST/Reach online on XBox. I would recommend it, though, if you haven't. Split screen is great if you can get the people, but that's the prerequisite.

I've played Halo, but video games are something that i dont really play. Now comupter games are a whole different story. Still after the campain has been played, halo is only fun with freinds. Other wise is always, go here, kill that. More into zombie suvival than halo.

I only beat the 2nd one with my cousin one time when he brought over his X-Box 360. Funfun. I've also played the Combat Evolved Demo a couple years ago too. I likes Halo. :3

Ok playing the combo breaker here for a sec. Whats so great about Halo? i mean ive played a couple of time sure but it just seemed like another shooter game. albeit with unbelivable graphics but a shooter none the less

Have you read any of the online reviews for the Halo games? These would be helpful because they analyze the game in the context of what the genre of game consisted of at the time. Otherwise, I'd say: the story, the world, and simply the skillful way they integrated the control schemes and different gameplay aspects with each other. Plus, they did a very good job on the multiplayer design, in my opinion.

heheh, I'm a huge Halo buff. I don't know every little detail, but Halo is among the top 5 best game series, in my opinion. BTW... REACH IS AWESOME!! I just don't like the credit system... it takes 4-ever to get anything worth buying *rolls eyes*

I think all the games are awesome. Halo Wars is debatable, but I loved the CGI and soundtrack. I LOVE ODST's soundtrack and campaign.

I used to play halo all of the time, until I got a PC. After using a keyboard and mouse I cant go back to xbox controllers. D:

 

If only they made Halo for the PC, I would not mind playing it every now and then...

Do you have Halo Custom Edition for the PC? If you don't...

 

Provided you actually bought a copy of Halo 1 for PC from retailers, you'd have a virtual code, or key that came with the game. Once you download Halo CE, you use the key to unlock it.
