Where my Christian Furries at?
Thomas, Maltuin replied to Thomas, Maltuin's topic in Computers and Gadgets
Yes. And direlda we shall observe your decision with respect -
I started a map collaboration for us if anyone is interested. You can go here and put in your location. https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=z_MmrPTGUtKE.kZBcievrCYKk (don't use your exact location. Use somewhere nearby or just your hometown.) Anyway any of us should be able to look and see how were spread out and maybe help arrange meet ups Thought it could be a neat feature. Never done this before so if the link doesn't work, post or pm your email so I can send a direct invite to you if you want in. Update: link should work and let you edit without a password now.

I was using some tiger pics from Google. I can see the differences but I think for the shape of the muzzle along the bridge, it's going to require adding fur pattern and shading because it's kind of a softer curve. Upon further I section I think the problem with the jaw is that the original head shop was to long. Once I'm more comfortable doing sketches without a guide I am planning to compare tiger and human face composition side by side. Unfortunately, there is no easily available live reference for me... -
My idea isn't fully developed yet. Kinda want to talk it out. Brainstorming works better with someone to draw current, for me anyway. Um I'll send you a pm later.

OK I was hoping to turn this into sort of a game to guess what each haiku is about. But this is educational. Direlda* when you find time could you elaborate on your knowledge of haiku? After all you're the one well read in all things well read 😉

I think that's just for the visible page. There is supposed to be a way to wipe everything

Anybody happen to know the command to delete ALL the emails in my Gmail account?

Tornado was the correct answer. Naught Is defined as nothing. "lies not" would indicate truth. Hurricanes and other non living things such as boats or cars are often named after women. Also the spinning of a Tornado can be drawn in an interesting ballet manner in my mind. And to some storms bear a certain beauty. It's part of nature. Many talk of the sound before a Tornado hits. A howling noise from the rapid wind perhaps. I was able to see the aftermath of the severe tornadoes that traveled along sand mountain in the Appalachian first hand and truly, where they went, Nothing remained. Good analysis. For me they seem easy when I'm on the mood. Doesn't mean I'm great at them but they are fun

Post your haiku here. In school I was taught that haiku should be thought of as a riddle. A vague description is given and you must figure out what it's about Haiku for those who don't know are super easy, beautiful and fun. Here's the setup Line 1. 5 syllables Line 2. 7 syllables Line 3. 5 syllables For example A silver dancer Sings her warning, spins, destroys In her wake, lies naught Can anyone tell me what this is about? (answered by foxbunny) Tornado UPDATE: upon further research, haiku don't have to be riddles but must be written about one simple subject which leads many to treat them as riddles. There are apparently lots of haiku about animals which after the poem state "what am I?" Feel free to share any haiku you've written though or make a new one! It's all fur fun anyway [emoji1]

I kinda saw that with the chin tried to reduce on the edit run. Kinda like having a bit of chin there for expression. But Ive decided to do draft 2 from scratch. With a different tutorial. Probably use draft one as reference so I can see how they relate. Do run two -subdue chin - bring eyes to a more natural size and location -and hopefully bring in some facial expression as well as fur pattern Thanks for input so far. Keep it coming. And don't forget to sign up for an ambigram if you want one in the other thread -

Okay link is updated. In the second picture the muzzle is much better methinks, but still we need to improve the face I think the right eye could be set a bit too high. Something is sorta off about the eye. We may just add stripes and call it draft one. Unless you all have some suggestions -

Hmm. Josiah mentioned flattening. OK so lengthen/streamline snout -
This is the first draft for Thomas. I really need to know how to further detail in general, add fur pattern, and add facial expression. In second draft, Planning to make eyes larger and bring them lower. Also raise jaw height by starting with a better base shape. http://imgur.com/a/0zMuU ________________________________________ This is a rough draft of an ocelot head. Once again I feel the need to slightly lengthen the snout and also refine shape of the nose. I used a more Impromptu /unorthodox method of drawing this time for finding basic shape, perhaps it will develop into personal style. I stopped at basic shapes this time http://imgur.com/PMFXzKB

This is an old thread but it needed updating and has some parallel relevance to my most recent one. *ahem* IRC and christianfurs.net are great places to meet up and chill with your furiends (see what I did there). We all seem to like it here but time spent at a computer is limited for the healthier of us. Although I think cell phone dependency is frightening, the ability to connect and hang out with your Christian furry friends from virtually anywhere is pretty cool. So here are some ways to do it. -Tapatalk- A lovely app for browsing registered forums (which we are) . I'm using it now. I'm sure many of you gave heard of it and probably used it. It has come a long way in the last six months alone. I prefer it for general use in regards to the desktop version of CF. Why use it? -Take Christianfurs.net with you everywhere. -Get notifications for - liked posts - private messages - posts in subscribed forums and threads All without having to check your email -IRC- You can chat in real-time Nuff said Many have been frustrated for a while because of the lack of activity around the CF irc. A good step in repaying that is providing you all with the ability to access it anywhere. Bored while accompanying your mom to the dry cleaners? Then do we have something for you! Mobile irc clients ANDROID -androchat A lovely simple app that will notify you when someone pm's you or says your nick AND will keep a note in you status/notification bar without draining battery. It's lightning fast and easy to use. Again, improvements over the last six months alone. -Andchat Another irc client for Android. Can't say too much about it, I like the other better. Many people prefer this one however (please don't start an app war here). IPHONE -colloquy https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/colloquy-irc-client/id302000478?mt=8 Seems to be the most common That's all I got WINDOWS PHONE -PocketIRC http://pocketirc.com/ Why not use Skype? -You can but irc clients won't drain your battery like skype will, neither will they freeze. -irc is faster. -No need for keeping contact lists Skype is great. I use it frequently. But irc is a great place to meet up and just chill with those who have decided to do the same. If they are on, then they ready to chat and it's one big conversation. Did you know?... -You can start your own channel and invite people. -You can send private messages and hold conversations one on one, off to the side. -If you start a chan you can password protect it and moderate to some small extent your own little corner. - you will still be overseen by network moderators however. -There are people around to moderate and ensure that the peace is maintained so people don't harass you. -If someone is being disrespectful or abusive you can get it taken care of without "friend bias" via said moderators. Just a thought.

Direlda, what do you think of starting a thread for a haiku game. I was taught that most haiku were supposed to be riddles. Fun?

Sunday November 15th, 2014 - group prayer
Thomas, Maltuin replied to Thomas, Maltuin's topic in Daily Prayer
Also please pray that God would shape Christian Furs into what he would have it to be. -
Id like to share some scriptures followed by some things id like us all to pray for together, if you feel so inclined. I will not post my prayer, but rather what im praying for. Join me if you like. Lord please bless the reading of your word today, Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there i am in the midst of them. James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Romans 8:24, 25 24. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25. But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Amen. This morning I'll be praying for: Also, The lord to be with Israel, The homosexuals i know of, that they would turn from it and hold to God, That God will lead all of us as individuals and as an assemblyin our actions and communications, That God will guard us from corruption, That God will show us our misteps and show us right from wrong individually and togther. That God would continue to give us the courage to share our faults and testimonies and fears So that we may pray one for another That God would let us feel his presence in our midst if it be his will That God would build all our faiths and make us stronger so that we can hope for the unseen and wait Patiently for it. If anyone has something to add to this i know we have a prayer request forum but this may be a good place too, at least for unspoken requests if anyone would like to add a verse to the ones i shared feel free. If you care too, pray with me today.

Maybe we should rp and collab on a clean furry read sometime. Direlda could help since *he has the know.
