AzoranTheDragon 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2012 I am having issues with a mobile wireless hotspot from time warner cable, now mined you it is not mine, its my suite mates from my dorm here at the community college I am going to. I am planning on getting one of my own from T-Mobile since Time Warner dosent offer their Wireless Hotspots anymore...Is their anything I can do to make the Mobile Hotspot from not overheating that wont be modifying it? like putting something on the bottom of it? Flechmen 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2012 Mm.. you could put it in a freezer, but that would cut off the radio signal.. if you had one with external antennas, you could modify your freezer so the antennas are on the outside of it. Otherwise, your best bet is to carefully open it and put a little heatsink on the CPU.
Akarynth† 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2012 Erm I've had a problem with an overheating laptop once which I resolved by putting a fan up to the laptop which kept it pretty cool with no more issues, and then I later discovered I had a laptop cooler base hidden among a heap of stuff I had used long ago... But generally there are a few innovative little tricks around like fans, ice packs, just a bit of creativity lol. Hope you resolve your problem - if you haven't already
