I've decided to fight my evil addiction of listening to that junk band "icp"

Recommended Posts

i dont listen to anything with talking in it period.

on a different topic, i just want to point out that http://ocremix.org/ exists. i get most of my (video game) music there. however, there are some times where people do talk in the songs. just go there and search mario, metroid, zelda, or whatever else, find their remixes, and then listen to them etc etc. i just wanted to bring that up becuz i love most of their music.

I really think you'd like Skillet and DCTalk, possibly even Thousand Foot Krutch (I've never listened to their music so I can't really say).

There's a lot of Christian music out there. If you like any kind of secular music, there's a Christian alternative for you.

They won't feel the same because they lack the anger' date=' hatred, and violence.

Just remember to do it for Jesus,Riddle Kat. <=) If you do it for Him,He'll thank you deeply by helping in more ways than one in any pressuring or painful situation.

If there's any bands I can recommend, there's Brian Head Welch, and RED (both are rock),but there's also Toby Mac (who's both Rap and rock). It'll probably feel strange to you at first, but once you keep listening to good music and seeking God more and more, and form a close loving bond with Him,things will feel lighter.

Just because the members say that they are Christian, it doesn't make the music Christian.

I wouldn't go so far as saying listening to them is an evil thing. I don't subscribe to that kind of theology. But, if you feel that it does foster antiChristian thoughts or attitudes, then it would be good to avoid them.

What specifically do you seek in their music? I would say, if any of those things are probably not something a Christian should seek out, ask God to refocus you. If not, then you can find it elsewhere, I'm sure.

I have CDs of Skillet and Thousand Foot Krutch, and heard DC Talk. All great bands! Brian HEAD Welch is another good one that feeds 'the metal hunger.'

If you can find Nailpoint (payment), they're really good too. But I heard that a band called White Collar Sideshow is a band that sounds like ICP but brings the Word to it.
