Wally Bear† 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2011 So, I'll start by talking about Lecrae, the Christian Rapper. He's made 5 albums so far and they're all awesome for rap music. I"m more of a metal head, but his music and lyrics are worth a listen, as you can see from my signature quotes from 2 of his songs.
koshi† 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2011 Try listening to "The Wonders of You" by Andy Hunter. The lyrics are distinctly Christian, which catches a lot of people off guard because it's a techno song. Most people don't expect (mainstream) techno to be Christian, or even about any sort of theology or philosophy at all. I like Lecrae too, in fact, he's the only rapper I've listened to that I like. But I haven't really listened to a lot of rappers. I'm also a bit of a metal head. August Burns Red, As I Lay Dying, Becoming the Archetype, and Texas In July are some of my favorite bands, and they're all Christian. My all-time favorite band is Anberlin, but they aren't really that 'odd'.
HuskyDog† 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2011 I don't do Christian rap (or rap at all) much, but Fr. Stan Fortuna ministers through music and is quite a talented and accomplished musician. He does a lot of rap. I would encourage checking him out.

Falux† 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2011 Sigh, no...ICP is not Christian. Yes, they said they were...you sort of have to take that with a grain of salt, and yeah...great album cover, huh? Some sort of devilish looking feature holding his hand out to you. That's a good influence. If Jesus had a band, would he be cussing and cursing? I don't think so... Anyway, Toby Mac. That man is the stuff. Look em' up.

Falux† 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2011 Well, TFK isn't really rap....well, I think their genre is technically rapcore. I mean, they rhyme and they rhyme great and they bring out the rock like none other. I saw them last October at the Underground in Cincinatti Ohio along with Pillar. TFK was the main band and that was the BEST concert. Period. I met the band. o.o
