Ryland† 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2011 If I were to make a minecraft beta server, would you play there? I would be running it off a 15MB Download/4MB Upload connection. And it would be running on one of my machines with a Intel Core 2 Quad 2.5GHz CPU, 500 GB 7200 RPM HDD, and 8 Gigs of RAM. Im rather experienced with administering servers as well, soo lag should not be an issue. I would most likely be adding a whitelist to it as well, which means that you would have to be on 'The List' in order to join the server(eliminates the possibility that griefers could come in and destroy your stuff >.>). Ive been contemplating on weather or not im going to do this, soo its not a guarantee, but I am curious as to how many of you guys would want to play there if I did. (the server I have access doesn't exactly have tons of resources) Not much really, mainly connection, a somewhat-powerful dual core CPU, and a decent amount of memory(2-3 Gigs should be fine).
