Hybrilynx† 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2011 i dont know if it really matter in the end but i have a wacom type of bamboo pen. i think the one i have is this one http://www.wacom.com/en/Products/Bamboo/BambooTablets/BambooConnect.aspx i am alittle talented i guess, idk, but i drew these using it http://hybrilynx.net/pictures/digital/database/pictures/e/egg-dragon/egg-dragon.jpg http://hybrilynx.net/pictures/digital/database/pictures/c/christmas-flower/christmas-flower.jpg but like i said im probably talented so dont expect to do anything like what i have. that tablet seems fine, but i cant really give a good review unless i used like every single tablet there is, which i have not done. and a tablet is just a pen mouse thing. im not sure if it matters much anyway on which one you get. also these were made with gimp. i used gimp tools and stuff too. it doesnt mean the tablet alone did this. but overall i still recommend doing more research yourself then just reading comments here. koshi† 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2011 I thought about getting a Wacom...what's the difference between that and the other thing you were mentioning (smart pen or whatever)?
XarZyth† 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2011 If your "smart pen" is the same "smart pen" that I am thinking of, then I would say Wacom cause the "smart pen" of which I'm thinking is not for drawing.
DasPurpleSegway† 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2011 Wacom tablets attach directly to your computer. They're a rectangle like thing with a stylus. Smart pens are pens for use on normal or sometimes special paper that use motion tracking to digitally record your drawing. Both usually come with Photoshop. Smart pens I mean.
Hybrilynx† 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2011 i think the wacom i got came with downloadable games and stuff. but i never paid attention to any of that. but it does have a pressure sensitive thing. so like the harder/lighter you brush (or at least with gimp) then the darker/lighter you paint brush would be. not sure if a smart pen does that though. [edurt] not on a computer, didnt see above post in time T-T
DasPurpleSegway† 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2011 I'm not sure, but one I saw came with a video and voice recorder.
