So I'm an artist, and I do a lot of character creation and brainstorming. Often times I'll be putzing around youtube and come across a song that inspires me to create a character or to reinvent an already existing one. If not that, sometimes I'll hear a song that reminds me of a character I have and will put that in on a reference sheet as a theme song of sorts - songs I listen to when I need to get into the character's mindset for art, Rp, costume or what have you. For example, waaaaay back almost more than half a decade ago I came across a song by Noisuf-X called My Time, and it sparked the creative fire that eventually paved the way for my character Phazon. Several other characters of mine have been invented similarly. Not all of my characters have, but nearly all of them have theme songs in the same regard. Does anyone create characters this way, or in a similar way?
