  3. Regular drives can get a good speed if they have a high rpm. I've used western digital drives that were low rpm and didn't get that fast of a rating (around 4, iirc).
  4. Hehe thanks, Wolfin! I'm glad someone likes it! I've been listening to it so many times, in all its iterations, over the past few months that I'm kind of sick of it now.
  5. New track! It's called The Machine. I've spent wayyy too much time working on it. New style for me so it was a bit harder, having to come up with some new techniques to use with it. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OHMqMuJayk

  7. With the dust, that makes sense. Sometimes dust buildup mimics a hardware failure. Glad you got it fixed.
  8. Its just ATI in general. Their cards arent half bad and are affordable' date=' but their driver support sucks, and from my experience ATI/AMD products overheat like crazy in laptops. Their desktop GPU's seem to be pretty good though. [/quote'] Disclaimer: I used to work for ATI/AMD... They historically tended to run hot. The stuff from the past couple years though are actually pretty decent about heat output. I have an all-AMD laptop that I'm using right now and it's ridiculously cool. I can leave it sitting on my bed while running for hours and it doesn't heat up significantly. I never was able to do that with any other laptop. Driver support has typically been kinda meh. It has gotten better, though, but it has its issues. I don't think you'd run into it though unless you're doing more enthusiast type setups (like Eyefinity/Crossfire/3D). However, when you're dealing with laptops, heat will always be an issue. It's not a matter of the chips so much as it's a matter of how well they built the laptop. This is one reason why laptops are bad gaming machines. Even if it had identical specs to the desktop, the laptop would run slower because heat is not as well ventilated. The best advice I'd give you is to be very attentive to how you are using your laptop and to its temperature. It should not heat up significantly with decent airflow. Do not use it on surfaces that don't provide good ventilation, like a couch or bed. Always let the vents have room to move air. Or this will happen.
  9. I created a Youtube channel specifically for my music. You can check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/user/PamiiruqMusic Please subscribe! Thanks! :3

    Battlefield 3

The multiplayer is supposed to be phenominal. But without a competent singleplayer mode, it is hard for me to justify paying $60 for it. I regret to say this, but here's to waiting for Modern Warfare 3.

    Battlefield 3

I hear the single player campaign is crap. So no, not getting it.
