DeltaK9 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2012 K, so had nothing to do lately, thought I'd start some character reference sheets. Scrapped my old concept art and came out with this... I know we have some artists that are incredibly talented here so I thought I'd run it by you guys. Problem is, I cannot, for the life of me, draw a side view that look decent, and I've been at it for a few hours. If someone would be so kind as to give me some tips on how to draw from different angles (human heads are easy, it's anthro stuff that gets me. >_>) that would be amazing. Would also be helpful if someone could come up with an outline for a sideview. XP
MinervaMunk 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2012 I think I could help you out. I will need to draw you an sketch to help you to my best ability, but for now here's some advice. The best thing you can do is have a picture of the animal you're referencing and try to your best ability to take note of the shapes you will need to use to draw the creature/character. Always use light lines and geometric shapes to sketch the skeleton of the animal before adding details and dark lines. This may be very obvious advice if you have been drawing for a while, but its the best I can give without examples. By the way, your style is very unique. I personally haven't seen many, if any, people draw anthros in the style you're using.
