Hybrilynx† 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2011 to make it short, i want something like this http://store.hauppauge.com/hardware2.asp?product=hd_pvr but was wondering if theres anything else cheaper that works just as good. i just want to record videos and put it on youtube thats it, really. i also seen this video which is kind of old actually, but it is cheaper then $200. i was just wondering if anyone here knows of something better. of course, when i go to best buy or someplace, im still going to ask them for options and just other stuff. also my tv doesnt have a "monitor out" thing. actually, this is what my tv looks like in the back. not that it matters though, since im probably going to get something that doesnt need monitor out. https://sites.google.com/site/hybrilynxdata/home/IMGP0006.JPG oh yeah, i forgot the youtube links work automatically. where theres the video. Flechmen 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2011 You could use something like this but really a DV camcorder (or a camcorder that can go into the computer or even a digital camcorder that you can record the video to then load it onto the computer from) should do the trick. Hybrilynx† 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2011 thanks. i think i might try that. the $20 thing, maybe $30. maybe $15 too. even if the quality might be lower then that expensive ones, at least i will start off with something small. and over time, probably upgrade from there. but the only problem, even for the other ones, my game consoles and computer are across the room from each other T-T well, just by 15 feet or so, nothing that huge. Flechmen 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2011 Yea, it should get you started anyway. Personally, I have a hard drive camcorder that can record from an external source. It does really sharp 480p and can do 7 hours at a time.
