Technical drawings for speaker designs

Recommended Posts

Not sure if anyone is interested.

These are a couple of speaker designs that I came up with..

The first is an ultra-uni-directional speaker. It looks much like a stadium cone, but built more like a traditional speaker and should have the same sound of a 12" or 15" speaker (unlike the shrill sound of stadium cones).

I also came up with a wedge shaped cabinet that would hold four speakers and have use in a field or auditorium where the sound would be directed towards the stands and the field its self would be an auditory dead zone.

My other design is of a cluster. The cluster would be 12-13 speakers (8ohm or 4 ohm array), and each speaker would be facing downwards to a cone shaped deflection plate, making the sound spread out in all directions.

I thought this could be useful in situations like an open field or a club, where you could have them spread out in central areas.

Sorry for my horrid drawing skills :(

Thanks, I think you misinterpreted it a little bit... I could work with you on it if you wanted to. Only if you have an interest in that kind of thing

Very nice though, very clean looking.

Well I'm good with helping to improve the layout of the sketch if you want to send me the rough drafts I'll try and have the other one done soon. As far as speakers go, I'm not so good with that technical side, I could however add measurements and such to give it the classic CADD layout, problem is your written numbers are hard to read. So I will leave them empty for you to write them in.

If you want to highlight the parts you can't read and number them, I can tell you what it says..

My handwriting has always been bad.. its a bit of a condition :/

Personally, I don't know if they're really important enough to go through the trouble.. I might re-do them in CAD software eventually, but its just kinda random thoughts at this stage.
