Again I have a lot more sitting in boxes all over the place, some require the old 5.25 floppy drives to install. Also you might note that you see a pattern of gaming evolution over the years... Again since 1986
  2. I tend to do this only when someone starts talking smack to me, at this point I don't care anymore about their insults, only their demise. If they think less of me for it I use a common phrase for this situation. I will state this phrase now, so please do not take offense to it as it is pretty common for me to say in games these days and seems to be quite accurate. Most players in games are the exact opposite of the gamers I prefer so you must take this into consideration. Either way, here is the phrase I use... "Sit down, shut up, and know your place!" Its quite effective and they dislike it a lot but whatever, its all true. I actually had to use that phrase yesterday in Global Agenda when one of the weaker players called us retarded, I gave him lip right back stating his damage was far too low for his class, he doesn't know how to play, etc, then he got reported and sent a warning.
  3. This is one of those situations that gives mixed opinions... This is the pure and honest truth, coming from a guy who has been gaming since 1986 and who's first shooter was the original Wolfenstein 3D. It is 100% legit, but the problem is, many gamers consider this as a cheap shot tactic many newbies use. In games like CoD4 the overall game mechanics have no avoidable methods to not get spawn killed via some random option that the game has jam packed into its code. The real question is, can you easily shrug off a million players calling you a newbie on a day to day basis for something like this. Again perfectly legit from a proper standpoint on the games overall mechanics. The only fear you have, if you can shrug off people calling you newbie, is either loss of credit for your username and a possible ban with certain hosts/servers. Example many PC servers for cod4 have using the grenade launcher (e.g. the Noob tube) as a bannable offense. Simply put, people will complain no matter what you do, doesn't matter if its using something like the RPG/M203 grenade launcher or simply getting 20 head shots in a row through sheer luck. Now, tbh I am not a fan of playing CoD series online, I prefer the single player side for that series but for multiplayer. I find the overall game mechanics is not my style, nor preference for an online shooter. I tend to play games that makes spawn camping, slightly less possible, example would be section 8, battlefield 2142, Battlefield 2, A.V.A, etc.
  4. If you are talking about my teams game its under a working title right now, too early in the development process to give it a name yet. The website is also under construction. Currently we have 2 coders, 1 modeler (me), 2 concept designers, one texture artist, and one concept artist. We have had it in production for several months now, shouldn't be too long before we have a gallery up. When the site is up ill link.
  5. Very nice, I am in Fort Worth too, over by TCU actually. Pleased to meet you. >^.^< I do not go to TCU though.
  6. How far into this project are you guys? My team/company has already made an API with loader and a few models for a furry MMORPG styled after morrowind/oblivion which would be free to play with cash shop. I know there is a lack of good furry games, in fact there are virtually none that qualify as "Good." This is why we are developing one.
  7. I am running ubuntu, myself, on an older PC next to me, its running a few servers for some of the games I play. After I set up the mysql database I haven't really had the need to touch the ubuntu machine and has been running for several months. I game on Windows XP, so far I have had no problems with XP. I keep everything running quite well, no viruses, no loose registry keys, keep the hard drive defragged and a windows error check twice a week. The only issue I have is Kaspersky slowing the comp down to a crawl. Usually I have to disable startup components of kaspersky to get the comp to boot up faster as it takes about five minutes longer than it did with mcafee. As for ubuntu its very easy to use and very easy to learn, they should have tutorials on the ubuntu website or a link to a third party site. You can also google more tutorials. Only issue I have had with ubuntu is with a usb modem since my router and main PC are in another room. I had to run a cord through the wall to be able to access the net. If you are running any AT&T DSL or Uverse you might have a few issues here and there which require a little assistance to get working. When I swapped from AT&T DSL to Uverse I had a couple of issues. It might have just been a local thing though since AT&T has been slacking in my area for several months (yayz for free internet for the eight months of downtime they had because they couldn't figure out the problem).

Web site(s): www.intrepidtiger.com (coming soon for game dev) Artist/Writer: Game Developer Concept Writer Style: Been to any cons: No Fav. music: Multiple Likes: Computer Games, socialization, Repairing PC's Dislikes: Console Games, People who do not think before they act, people who take the facts and twist them into things that are far from the truth. Church Denomination: Non-denomination (e.g. the bible is my code book, nothing else.) Anything else: I am agnostic and a Christian, I have seen enough miracles to know that God does exist. I will explain the biggest one I have seen. When I was young, my family had a friend, we called her Dotty. Dotty was in a car accident and she lost the mobility in her right arm. The doctors said the nerves were severed and her right arm would never work again. About twelve years later, she was at a midnight church sermon praying to God. In the middle of her prayer her arm started moving again and was able to be raised up to help praise the Lord. No medical science or any logic can explain what happened that night. The doctors did tests after this and found that the nerves had somehow been re-connected. This is something medical science, in the early 90s, couldn't do. I also look forward to meeting people, please send me a pm if you wish to talk at all. >^.^<
