A quick poem before FINALLY getting some sleep

And as I lay me down to sleep, I pray my soul the Lord to keep

Oh king of man oh mighty power, please grant us peace, this day, this hour. But if we earn not thy warming rest, and cause you grief, your patience test, please guide us back into your light that we may shine in darkness, burning bright.

 

let me walk close to thee, and may others always ever see, a risen Christ alive in me, and may my words and acts and deeds, bare witness of your love,

 

Eternally

 

Amen
