Hybrilynx† 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) Craft3DS is a block game kind of like Minecraft but 2D. The controls are actually pretty hard for a computer, but it's a Nintendo 3DS internet browser game, so controls are based from that. Also, Google Chrome will show the game blurry. Anyway, the game right now does not have stuff like enemies or animals like the proto-craft3ds version does, but this version is very very very well made. Some people probably definitely can't make this game for a computer, or phone, or with flash, or java, but I have made it, and I have made it for the Nintendo 3DS internet browser. So, if you have a Nintendo 3DS, or a internet browser, you can play this game here: http://painitegames.com/games/craft3ds there's not too much to do, but I will keep adding more stuff to it over time. You have to read the Guide page to actually know how to play, though. The old version and UGLY version if anyone wants to see it, is here: http://painitegames.com/games/proto_craft3ds And anything below this is the old thread stuff about Craft3DS, but it's old. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (Craft3DS (v4) is out now http://painitegames.com/misc/temp/craft3ds_v4/ I've been working onCraft3DS for awhile now, and v3 (basically, the 3rd version I'm making public) is a very good version. This is a 3DS browser game, so on a computer it can either suck or not even work. If you have a 3DS then try it out now. http://painitegames.com/misc/temp/craft3ds_v3/ How to Play: It's easy. Control pad moves, stylus for blocks, A to fly for whatever reason. Up jumps regularly, and "swims". Swimming can make you look like a ninja. Notes/Special: Lava and water makes steam, and lava eventually turns to obsidian. Using the 99 Cheat button gives you all sprites as an item. For example, a cow spawned normally, moves. But 99 Cheat give you the sprite as a block, placing the block cow will not do anything. Wheat grows at random (up to lv 3), might take awhile. Cow and Fire Slime are the only creatures. No caves or anything underground, other than ore which is used for nothing. So digging deap is meaningless. Pearls spawn at random under 9 blocks of water. Grass/Rocks spawn at random on dirt. Your Items are on the left and Crafting stuff is on the right. The game does not tell you what items get removed if you craft something. Rocks are very important. 2 makes Sharp Rocks, which is used to craft almost everything. The tools are important-ish. For example, clicking dirt, might not actually pick up the dirt. But if you have a shovel, it will always pick up the dirt. The same with wood-axe, stone-pickaxe, etc. Tools can very rarely break and it wont tell you. The "Pick" and "Place" buttons are important too. If you click 100 times and can't "Pick" something up, try clicking "Pick", then click the blocks again. Now, just remember this is a 3ds browser game. Also there can be lots of glitches, but I most likely know them. Crafting options: // What you get (Craft) . . . . . . . . . . . . . What you loose (cost) // Water(1) Water Slab(4) // Sand(1) Mud(3) Water(3) // Mud(1) Dirt(3) Water(3) // Wheat lv1(2) Wheat lv3(1) // Wheat lv2(1) Grass 1(3) Grass 2(3) Grass 3(3) // Stick(1) Sharp Rock(1) Wood Plank(1) // Rock(4) Sharp Rock(1) Stone(4) // Sharp Rock(1) Rock(2) // Rope(1) Sharp Rock(1) Stick(3) // Wood Plank(2) Sharp Rock(1) Wood(1) // Pickaxe(1) Sharp Rock(1) Stone(1) Stick(1) // Shovel(1) Sharp Rock(1) Stone(1) Stick(1) // Axe(1) Sharp Rock(1) Stone(1) Stick(1) // Ladder(4) Rope(1) Stick(1) // Furnace(1) Stone(4) // Cooked Meat(1) Furnace(1) Coal(1) Raw Meat(1) // Sword(1) Sharp Rock(1) Stone(1) Stick(1) Edited September 27, 2014 by Hybrilynx

SuperKuddlor† 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2014 That's very good However, when using sword, I can only put it as if it was an image in a frame, not into my hand and to kill.

The tools work if they are just in your inventory. I wouldn't want people to keep switching tools back and forth either. Maybe for an ordinary game, but not a 3ds browser one. And that's why the sword is in a block.
Hybrilynx† 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2014 Yes, late reply? Anyway, I edited the thread with the REAL Craft3DS game. It's very awesome. At least, when you compare it to other Nintendo 3DS browser games on the whole entire internet (NONE).
SuperKuddlor† 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2014 I would like to make a game like that with you where everything is multiplayer and everyone has a skin. It's like Mario and real time level editing like building a world out of custom sprites and programmed NPCs. Also, I hate it that registration is 18+ because a minor cannot accept the Agreement. So my nephew would never be able to play without a parent or me reading all that stuff for him. Heck deviantART has Terms of use which are readable and acceptable by a 13+ year old. Please change that, it's really frustrating. Make it that 13 year olds can accept the Agreement. Or else I'll have to host our game on my own hosting with my own Agreement. Hybrilynx† 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2014 The Agreement is for safety. If anything goes wrong for me, I at least have a decently written terms etc. Plus Nintendo Wii U terms say to get a parent/guardian too (if anyone actually reads them). If you want to make games as partners, for now I will only focus on JavaScript for it. Also I wouldn't want to host it anyway.
SuperKuddlor† 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2014 Do you have Skype? And since I don't have a hosting yet (because it requires a domain), can you show me how to virtualize a server where there's log in and php and sql? I'm a noob at php, but I know how databases work. I've had that in school and once ran a forum and did a bugfix by adding a new column to a table. Can you show me the basic functions for time delay, sprite sheet loading; cropping; blitting with transparency, blitting game surface at one frame and not while sprites are being drawn, sound loading; playing, saving and uploading files, editing and reading binary files, communication with the server, gaining input of key down start; key down constant; key up start; key up constant,... I think that's all I need. I can make everything else myself; the game loop and such. Also is there a good cheap stable hosting where I can run a custom php game server and debug it asynchronously? Hybrilynx† 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2014 My Skype is Hybrilynx. And I have absolutely no idea what most of the stuff you are asking for is. You have to ask me one by one in detail and in what language. Or else my brain will hurt..
