You know how . . . we exhorted each one of you . . . and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.—That you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. At one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.
