Boot camp was hard, there's no doubt about it but I was able to push on with the help of the Lord. I'll admit, there were times I gave up on Him but because He never gave up on me I made it through. Boot camp was literally the only place I've EVER been that felt truly God-forsaken. Luckily I was able to get the job as my division's Religious Petty Officer and worked at the base's chapel two times a week. I got to attend some amazing services and met fantastic chaplains. Now I'm stationed at Fort Jackson, SC (an Army base actually) to undergo training to become a Religious Program Specialist.
