Post-o-Matic 3.16† 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2009 Morning “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.” “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”—The blood of the Lamb.—The precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.—Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.—The blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. He entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption.—Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh . . . let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith.
