Post-o-Matic 3.16† 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 Morning Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.—With the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD I will come; I will remind them of your righteousness, yours alone.—The gospel . . . is the power of God for salvation. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.—I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.—But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. “The joy of the LORD is your strength.”—May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy. Eph. 6:10; 2 Cor. 12:9, 10; Ps. 71:16; Rom. 1:16; Phil. 4:13; Col. 1:29; 2 Cor. 4:7; Neh. 8:10; Col. 1:11 (Read full verses...) Evening Jesus Christ our Lord. “Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”—He humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth. “Messiah . . . (he who is called Christ).”—“The LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. . . . The second man is from heaven.—“My Lord and my God!”—“You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you.” 1 Cor. 1:9; Matt. 1:21; Phil. 2:8-10; John 4:25; Isa. 61:1; 1 Cor. 15:45, 47; John 20:28; John 13:13-15 (Read full verses...) << May 20 | May 21 | May 22 >> Excerpted from Daily Light on the Daily Path ©2002 Crossway Books, a publishing ministry of Good News Publishers.
