Post-o-Matic 3.16† 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2009 Morning A servant of Christ Jesus. “You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am.”—“If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.”—“Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ.—But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. “No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”—So you are no longer a slave, but a son.—Stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. . . . For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor.—I have counsel and sound wisdom; I have insight; I have strength.—Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.—Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. I know, O LORD, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.—And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.—Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.—“But he knows the way that I take.”—A man's steps are from the LORD; how then can man understand his way?—You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory.—This is God, our God forever and ever. He will guide us forever.
