Post-o-Matic 3.16† 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2009 Morning Share his sufferings. “It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master.” He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.—“In the world you will have tribulation.”—“Because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” I looked for pity, but there was none.—At my first defense no one came to stand by me, but all deserted me. “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”—For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come. Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Evening “And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb.” Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died.—It is the blood that makes atonement by the life.—“I am the LORD. The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you.”—There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. “Who are these, clothed in white robes, and from where have they come? These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever.
