Post-o-Matic 3.16† 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 Morning “The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me.” Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.— Glorify God in your body. But you are a . . . a royal priesthood . . . that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.—You yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.—Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. My soul makes its boast in the LORD; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together! Ps. 50:23; Col. 3:16, 17; 1 Cor. 6:20; 1 Pet. 2:9; 1 Pet. 2:5; Heb. 13:15; Ps. 34:2, 3 (Read full verses...) Evening Draw me after you; let us run. “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.”—I led them with cords of kindness, with the bands of love.—“And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”—“Behold, the Lamb of God!”—“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.” Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.—We love because he first loved us. My beloved speaks and says to me: “Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away, for behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. The fig tree ripens its figs, and the vines are in blossom; they give forth fragrance. Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away.” Song 1:4; Jer. 31:3; Hos. 11:4; John 12:32; John 1:36; John 3:14, 15; Ps. 73:25; 1 John 4:19; Song 2:10-13 (Read full verses...) << Apr 16 | Apr 17 | Apr 18 >> Excerpted from Daily Light on the Daily Path ©2002 Crossway Books, a publishing ministry of Good News Publishers.
