Post-o-Matic 3.16† 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2009 Morning When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent. Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.—Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.—If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.—“By your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”—Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips!—Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.—Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. And in their mouth no lie was found, for they are blameless. Prov. 10:19; Jas. 1:19; Prov. 16:32; Jas. 3:2; Matt. 12:37; Ps. 141:3; 1 Pet. 2:21-23; Heb. 12:3; Rev. 14:5 (Read full verses...) Evening Teach me your way, O LORD. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.—Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way. “I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”— Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. “Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD.”—All the paths of the LORD are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.
