Post-o-Matic 3.16† 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2009 Morning And [Abraham] believed the LORD, and he counted it to him as righteousness. No distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness.” But the words “it was counted to him” were not written for his sake alone, but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord. For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith.—“The righteous shall live by faith.”— Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.—Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases.—“For nothing will be impossible with God.” . . . “And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” Gen. 15:6; Rom. 4:20-24; Rom. 4:13; Rom. 1:17; Heb. 10:23; Ps. 115:3; Luke 1:37, 45 (Read full verses...) They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.—“Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father.”—“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” “And I assign to you, as my Father assigned to me, a kingdom, that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”—“Your kingdom come.” 1 Thess. 2:12; John 18:36; Heb. 10:13; Rev. 11:15; Rev. 5:10; Rev. 20:4; Matt. 13:43; Luke 12:32; Luke 22:29, 30; Matt. 6:10 (Read full verses...) << Mar 23 | Mar 24 | Mar 25 >> Excerpted from Daily Light on the Daily Path ©2002 Crossway Books, a publishing ministry of Good News Publishers.
