The Cycle

Here we go again,

 

Oh God will it ever cease?

 

This cycle of mine it drowns me,

 

All I want is some peace.

 

My heart becomes filled with sorrow and regret,

 

I start to falter, worry and think that this debt,

 

That I owe my loving God who died for me;

 

Is nothing more than a fantasy.

 

I know it is true. I know it is real,

 

But sometimes I just don’t believe cause I can’t feel,

 

God’s presence around me, that sweet love from above;

 

So I try to make through it by myself and I shove,

 

All the ones that I love and that love me back,

 

Oh God please help me fall off this track;

 

The track of this cycle of mine.

 

I give it to you,

 

My worries and fears.

 

Please take away the pain, the hurt and the tears.

 

It’s killing me God, this cycle that I’m in.

 

It’s running my friendships, and everything I have been.

 

I know you are there, and I know who you are,

 

But how come sometimes, you just seem so far?

 

Help me not doubt, Help me to believe.

 

Help me continue and show and help others receive,

 

The wonders of your grace, and the love of your son,

 

This cycle is finished with, over and done.
