Post-o-Matic 3.16† 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2009 Morning Therefore let us go to him outside the camp and bear the reproach he endured. For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come. Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.—For we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort.—If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.—Then they left the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name.—Choosing rather to be mistreated with the people of God than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward. Heb. 13:13, 14; 1 Pet. 4:12, 13; 2 Cor. 1:7; 1 Pet. 4:14; Acts 5:41; Heb. 11:25, 26 (Read full verses...) Evening The Lord Jesus Christ . . . will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body. And above the expanse over their heads there was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like sapphire; and seated above the likeness of a throne was a likeness with a human appearance. And upward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were gleaming metal, like the appearance of fire enclosed all around. And downward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and there was brightness around him. Like the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD.—And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.—Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. “They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore.”—And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb.
