Post-o-Matic 3.16† 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2009 Morning The one who was to come. But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.—One has died for all.—For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.—Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.—Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.—But in these last days [God] has spoken to us by his Son. . . . He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature.—“You have given him authority over all flesh.” The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. Rom. 5:14; Heb. 2:9; 2 Cor. 5:14; Rom. 5:19; 1 Cor. 15:45, 46; Gen. 1:26-27; Heb. 1:1-3; John 17:2; 1 Cor. 15:47, 48 (Read full verses...) Evening “Write therefore the things . . . that are to take place after this.” But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit.—“When the Spirit of truth comes, . . . he will declare to you the things that are to come.”—Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen. But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. . . . For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
