  1. Welcome! And it's great that we have yet another Knoxville fur!
  2. @Tikaani: @Cody: Thanks! No Sprecken Ze Deutch... @Pooty: Tough question... I'm gonna go with... Chickens.
  3. @Nickoli: Cool... I'm not too worried @Carter: Chicken Wing is good by me... So my fursona? That starts back in Middle School, actually. I was really into this Christian Radio station in Knoxville (which sadly has turned into an Air One broadcast station), and I called the station for one of their morning show contests. It was my first time on the air, and I was supposed to guess what the station's giveaway prize was. I told them I thought it was a chicken. As you can imagine, I was wrong, but the clip was funny, and it was my first time on the air, so i was super stoked about it. A little while later, I got my friends to help me prank the station... as Chickens. It was a horrible failure, but we all thought it was really funny, even if it didn't get us on the air. Through this experience, I came to the conclusion that Chickens were, in fact, the funniest of all animals, and I would joke about chickens all the time in school. One day, after returning from recess, I happened upon an unusual scene: there was a little rubber chicken at my desk. It felt like divine providence that this chicken would be bestowed upon me, and I took it as a sign that it was okay to like chickens. The "phantom" portion of my name comes from the fact that The Phantom Menace had come out, and I thought it was a humorous pun of the movie title. I first used it as my DA handle, and I've kept it ever since. To be honest though, I feel as though I have a multiple personality disorder when it comes to fursonas. While I've been consistent with being PhantomChicken online, the truth is I've got a couple other characters I inhabit as well, but I haven't created an online fursona for them. I guess you could conclude that the "phantom" in PhantomChicken has come to mean a "supernatural chicken capable of taking on different forms." Lastly, I identify with chickens because I am a HUGE muppet fan. Gonzo has always been a favorite of mine, and I think that has a lot to do with why Chickens have been a big obsession over the years. I mean, he's married to a chicken for crying out loud! So yeah, that's what's up with my name and fursona.
  4. @Carson: Awww, thanks! I do love a warm welcome! @Direlda: Thanks!
  5. @foxbunny: Sup? @otsoka: HA! Haha... ha... ::looks away uncomfortably:: @Nickoli: Thanks! It's nice to know your species... Only invite me over for dinner if you don't plan on having me on the menu, k? Thanks!
  6. @otsoka: Thanks! ...not sure how I feel about being perceived as "tasty", but I'm glad you're grateful to have me here... wait... you're not hungry, are you? @norzman5: Thanks! @leopard97: Thanks! I start at $500, but you have plenty of time to save since I won't be free to start commissions again until at least January! @Tikaani! Long time no see! What's it been? 1, 2 hours?
  7. Hey all! I'm PhantomChicken! You can call me Phantom, Chicken, or by my real name, Chris... just please don't call me dinner. :s I'm too hail from Knoxville, TN like our good buddy Tikaani. I've been into the fandom for years, but I've never gotten involved with you all because, honestly, I didn't know this site existed. I've also been mostly into the suiting side of the fandom, and I've not been very focused on being social with any other furs. Recently, I've felt a need to get involved more with furs both Christian and non-Christian, and so I've been looking for ways to do that. Just the basic rundown on me: I'm 26, Christian (non-denominational/ former baptist), and my fursona is a Chicken... I'm married and have one little puppy at home... God has blessed me with a passion for creating characters/fursuits and serving Him through my costumes and performances. I've been blessed to also be involved with churches who appreciate my unique talents and have used me for their youth ministry and other events. For two years running I created costumes for an event called "Jesus Prom" in Lexington, KY. It's an annual event put on by Southland Christian Church where the church puts on a prom for the mentally and physically disabled. It's a great chance to serve, and I really enjoyed my experience there... You can find out more about the prom (as well as see my reindeer, Thøm) on their homepage http://www.jesusprom.org/ ... the people do a great job of explaining the prom better than I can too. If you're close to Lexington, I highly recommend volunteering. It's a great experience! So, yeah, that's basically me. I know I'm leaving out a whole bunch, but I'm sure you all can ask some good questions, so go ahead and ask away!
