I think of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednago when all the people were worshiping Nebuchadnezzar's gilded statue. They didn't demand that all these non-Jews should act like Jews. Instead, they insisted that they were going to act like Jews should rather than like non-Jews did.

Really, it appears to me that what is being suggested in this thread is for Christians to do what non-christians are doing (having a parade to celebrate sexuality) with the reason that the non-christian's aren't behaving like Christians should.

Maybe I'm missing something, but that's what it looks like to me.

Personally, I am not shocked by non-christians acting like non-christians. What offends me are people claiming to be Christian who act like non-christians. Espousing hate rather than love. Loving money over people (and God). Acting out of a desire to destroy rather than edify.
I really understand the people who reject Christianity because of the actions and attitudes of such Christians.

Titus 3:1-4 (KJV) Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

2 Timothy 2:24-26 (KJV) And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
    In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

This pretty much confirms the necessity of being gentle and kind hearted. You can stand your ground without being rude believe it or not.

I think it should just be about the mouse Emily living in a place where she feels she doesn't fit in. I'm interesting in where others can take it.
Will she try to modify her perspective and fit in?
Will she have some friends of similar background to her at the worship services in the student center?
Will she feel rejected by those around her because she doesn't fit in and make some bad choices because of that?

Is there anything you feel would be a good (or interesting) path for her?

I've played with it a bit. Usually it was a way to dig into a different way of thinking for alien characters.
Language is cultural and physical, so I would come up with concepts that had to do with what was important to the characters' cultures and fit with their physical abilities. Big rodent teeth or a long muzzle would affect how sounds are pronounced.

foxbunny got a reaction from Direlda in Video Games as a Storytelling Medium
All stories are a dual act of creation: The author creates the story in the telling and the audience re-creates the story in the consumption. That's why literary analysis is so much fun--it looks at different ways to re-create the same story.

Most games are more like movies than books. They try to tell a specific story are less interested in the audience participating in the re-creation aspect than they are having the player be one of the actors. Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Halo, etc. generally have a linear story with the player expected to follow a set path. These games are fun and all, but even games like GTA where you can make choices end up with the ending changed based on a few possibilities.

I would really like to see games that push the storytelling into a co-creation between the developer and player. That's not really something that's possible in other media. Fallout gets close with the ability to build new areas, and Warcraft/Starcraft also get close for the same reason. But those stories tend to either lack depth or be more of what has come before.

What would a truly co-created video game experience look like? I wonder.
