Real name: James (Don't feel comfortable/aren't allowed by parents to go by full name online. Eh.)

Other names: Wingy, Winger, Winga, WingaCrusade, Light (Kinda? Get to know me and you'll find out :]), it's usually anything with Wing and something else past it, so never just "Wing"

About your fursona: Well, I don't know if I exactly have a set in stone fursona. I have a rather active imagination, so I actually have several "characters", which I've never really felt comfortable calling "fursonas", but oh well. As far as Furry goes, I go by "Guardian". He arised from discovering my personality type being "Guardian" as well as discovering many, many other things that were of either a Guardian-like nature, or something else like that. He's a dragon. Colors... well, the strange thing about him is I never really defined them.

To try and explain that, I have other characters I used to go by, for example, Light. He is a Light Blue Yoshi. So perhaps Guardian is light blue! But then again, my imagination will shift him all over the place.

Artist/Writer: Both! Well, kinda. I tend to be a math/sciency guy, till I discovered I kind of repressed both my artistry and writing side, my art side more. So unfortunately I'm bad at art, considering I have pretty much no practice, but I still have a passion for it! I also write, typically a specific fantasy story, yet I haven't worked on it, in my opinion, enough. On that subject, I could definitely tell you all about it (considering you had several hours time)!

Style: Uhh... I don't consider myself very stylish (I'm assuming this is art or something? Not sure, but just imagine a big N/A over it.)

Been to any cons: Nope!

Fav. music: Alternative, Techno, hard to say specifically. I enjoy Switchfoot particularly, as well as Relient K, and in no particular order, Skillet, Pillar, Five Iron Frenzy... that's all that I can think of. Oh! And remixes of/original video game music.

Likes: Art, Fantasy books, video games (definitely!), playing my bass guitar, making... things (in general), talking/typing, and others escape my mind... again. Oh! Friends. Love them.

Dislikes: Decided not to do these as I can't really think of any appropriate ones.

Writing Critique

I haven't been writing in a long time now, mainly because it's summer and I wanted a break. Well now I'm graduated from High School and taking classes here at home so I should have more time at night and on weekends to write. Could you guys critique my writings and see if I should keep at it?

Meh, I was going to shade this but I really don't like how it turned out. :\ I'm out of practice. Anyway, I know a few of you are artists so I'm requesting some critique here.

The most audacious problems I find are:
Eyes too far apart
Misshapen head
Lack of cohesion for hair (it just BECOMES at random, so to speak.)
Disproportionate head size
Torso too long
Waist is shaped oddly
Arms just look a bit off
Uneven eyebrows
I just stopped caring when I got to the legs
Clavicle too low
I can't make clothing folds/wrinkles

I am crazy depressed/angry right now. the girl Ive been in love with for the past two years always told me that we would date as soon as we both started collage. she also told me that we would be going to the same school (western kentucky university) I found out today that these were not only both lies but also that she waited untill I was gone to start dating the biggest Butt hole in the state of Tennessee. so yeah this is why I hate people

Anything else: I am agnostic and a Christian, I have seen enough miracles to know that God does exist. I will explain the biggest one I have seen.

When I was young, my family had a friend, we called her Dotty. Dotty was in a car accident and she lost the mobility in her right arm. The doctors said the nerves were severed and her right arm would never work again. About twelve years later, she was at a midnight church sermon praying to God. In the middle of her prayer her arm started moving again and was able to be raised up to help praise the Lord.

No medical science or any logic can explain what happened that night. The doctors did tests after this and found that the nerves had somehow been re-connected. This is something medical science, in the early 90s, couldn't do.

Account pruning and spam control

As most active folks here know, this isn't an advertising forum, and recently I've been really paying attention to new registrations and banning the aparent spammers.

So, I'm going to try to really combat this in the near futre (later today perhaps).
So far, I've been just manually banning spam accounts and I made a little script that automatically clears out the signature and website profile fields of anyone that gets banned.

Its getting to the point where there are 5 to 10 spam registrations a day.

So, I'm going to try some things.
I'm going to try implementing some stronger spam control on registration, pruning some accounts, and making it so you can't edit your profile at all until you make a post.

This won't affect any legitimate active members of course.

If you are an advertiser and reading this, go elsewhere.

I have been thinking on some kind of an ad-affiliate program for active members but that may be a ways off.

But, yeah, just a heads up I guess.

It gives me no end of greif when professed Christians will take the word of someone else on a biblical topic without looking it up and doing the research on it themselves. Seriously this has led to more arguments than I can count. anyone else have this trouble?
